We got back from Beaver's Bend, Oklahoma yesterday. What a trip!! David's parents came with us and it was wonderful. We left Sunday and stayed in a beautiful cabin. David and his dad went fly fishing with Joshy, Mom and I did a lot of talking and reading. Which by the way, I actually got to read a book from cover to cover within two days!!! You just can't go wrong with a great Nicholas Sparks book. Ya just can't!
The only really frustrating thing of the whole trip, even though David will say two things happened, was when on our way there, we stopped in Bonham, Texas 'cause we had to let the dogs out to go potty. When we were in the convenience store, Gracie thought she'd be super cute and lock us out of the car. We had to call the police department to shimmy the door open, even though the podunk cop couldn't do it, but my firefighter husband who does this each shift, got it open. The second thing is Joey broke David's glasses.
Joey did pretty good on the trip! He loved swimming in the lake and throwing rocks into the lake. As you can tell, he loved playing "1-2-3 BLAST OFF," too!!
Joshy got to go fishing with his daddy and papa and he was such a natural! He caught his first rainbow trout! We were so proud of him!
Gus and Gracie liked spending time in the lake as well!!!
Anyhoo, this trip will be one that we will definitely repeat for years to come!
