Motherhood is Potty Training Excitement!

So for the past almost three months, we've been working with Joey on potty training, which for any mother out there, can be a battle with little boys. Our goal is to have him completely potty trained by November. It's crazy 'cause right now, we're having to buy three different type of "diapers" and when Kimber comes, we'll have to buy four if he's not completely trained.

Unfortunately, the boys have inherited my bladder, so dispite waking them both up in the middle of the night to go potty, they both end up completely DRENCHED come morning... So they both have their own kind of night time pull-ups. Plus the daily pull-ups for Joey... it's expensive!!!

Joey is one of those children who could care less if he's peed in his pull-ups or not. Learning designs mean nothing to him and the ones that get cool when you pee have no affect on him. We've even tried wearing "big boy" pants, and he'll pee in them and then goes and gets another pair on, pees in them... he just doesn't care.

However, the excitement the past couple days for me is the fact that when he has to #2, he's been going in the bathroom all by himself and going!!!! So I'm hoping we've hit a milestone and he'll continue to do this!! Changing a 3 year old's poopy diaper is not cool for me anymore considering we've got our sweet baby girl on the way!!
