I found this picture and thought it was beautiful. With today being Memorial Day, and seeing people's posts about thanking a serviceman, it made me think of something somewhat profound.We shouldn't just thank them on special days. We should thank them EVERY day! These men and women knew the risk when they enlisted. They choose to fight for us. They leave their families to save ours. I hope that I have taught my sons to thank servicemen when they see one.
I guess I feel so strongly about this because of David's time in the Marines. I can't even begin to comprehend what these guys go through...
So, when you see a serviceman, thank them. Let them know that you support them and will continue to. Teach your children to honor them, as well.
