Motherhood is enjoying Mother Nature...

Josh joined Cub Scouts the beginning of the school year and has loved being a Tiger Cub! I'm in the process of working on a separate blog to follow our Scouting journey as a family.

This past weekend, Kimber and I finally got to join the boys on a Family Camp Out to Sid Richardson Scout Camp. Now, because motherhood and life is hilarious in the Schmidt house, of course the hilarity carries over to our camp outs.

Friday afternoon, we packed up and headed out!

We set up camp, ate some Schmidt Camp Special (Ranch Style Beans with cubed steak and onions), had a camp fire with the 5 other scouts and their families, and crashed!

We borrowed a baby-back-pack from some friends to try it out before we went and made a big purchase. (David is currently on Ebay searching for one!) Kimber loved it. She loved being outdoors and loved going on hikes with David and the boys.

Josh and David got to go fishing. Joey, we had some potty issues with and as you can see our "daddy-made" clothes line, we went through a couple items of clothing. David even went the extra mile and made some clothes pins to hang everything up with. This was just one of the hilarities that followed us to the camp out.
So here are some of my favorite pictures from the rest of the trip. If you read this, and would like to see more, please lemme know and I can send you to my Shutterfly shared site!
